Support Summit DD, the citizen committee working to pass Summit DD’s Replacement Levy in Summit County, will host a campaign kick-off and voter registration drive on September 20 at the beautiful Rex Lake location of the Akron Rotary Camp. The event will take place in the Rennick and Dee Andreoli Recreation and Resource Center. Members of the public, media and elected officials are all welcome to attend.
The Campaign Kick-off will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the Akron Rotary Camp, 4460 Rex Lake Dr., Akron, OH 44319. Remarks will be given by honorary levy chair William Considine (former President & CEO of Akron Children’s Hospital), Dan Reynolds (Akron Rotary Camp) Assistant Chief of Staff Greta Johnson (County of Summit) and Lisa Kamlowsky (Summit DD Superintendent). The event will also feature a musical performance by Hearts for Music (www.heartsformusic.org), an orchestra of children and young adults with special needs.
